1cupstrawberries, cut into small chunks - or pineapple
Ice
lime wedges
Instructions
To Make:
To a blender or food processor, combine the strawberries, pineapple chunks, lime juice, and 1 cup of water.
Blend until the fruit has been fully pureed.
Pour the pureed juice through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. The goal is to remove some of the seeds and pulp. I find it's easiest to use a cheesecloth secured over the pitcher.
If needed, add 1-2 packets of Stevia, to taste. Or sweeten to taste with preferred sweetener/sugar.
Slowly pour in the sparkling water.
To Serve:
To 1 of four 15 ounce glasses add:Ice1/4 cup chopped strawberries (or pineapple chunks)1 1/2 cups of the Sparkling Strawberry Pineapple Limeade
Serve with any leftover fruit and lime wedges - for a little extra punch of lime flavoring.
Notes
If you're not a fan of strawberry OR pineapple, swap one fruit out for the fruit of your choosing!SWEETNESS: Personally, you can take or leave the sweetener/sugar in this recipe. The fruit brings about a natural sweetness to the recipe. But if you prefer it a bit sweeter, then add the sweetener of your choice and to taste. Try it first before adding. You may be pleasantly surprised with its natural sweetness. This recipe is sweet and tart. Adding a little extra sweetness to it will balance out the tartness if you're not too big of a fan of it.SPARKLING WATER: If you cannot find this, simply swap it out for regular water. It won't have the bubbly factor, but will still be delicious!LIME JUICE: As with the sweetness, lime juice is to taste, as well. Some may prefer a more tart beverage than others. I suggest adding 1/4 of a cup to start, taste test once it's pureed, and add more as needed.
